A set of practical strategies you can apply when designing or running training in real-world, resource-constrained contexts.
Use this when:
- you are adapting your training to your learners and context
- something is not working in your current design
- you need practical options to try
This is not a checklist to complete.
It is a set of patterns you can draw on.
These strategies build on:

- prioritise participants facing the most barriers when making design decisions
- test your training against the most constrained participant, not the average one

- use multiple modes at the same time (visual, verbal, practical)
- check whether one design choice creates a new barrier elsewhere
