Activities¶
These activities support you in turning ideas into structured, usable training designs and resources.
Across Part 1, the Extra Topics, and Part 2, you work iteratively — designing, testing, refining, and extending your training. These activities make that process explicit and reusable.
You do not need to complete them perfectly or in order. They are designed to support progressive refinement over time.
How to use these activities¶
- Start with the activities linked in each lesson
- Revisit and update them as your thinking evolves
- Use them together — each activity captures one part of a larger system
- Treat them as working documents, not final outputs
👉 Together, they form a coherent design workflow from initial idea to reusable open resources.
Part 1 — Designing Training for Impact¶
These activities help you design training that is grounded in context, aligned with intended change, and structured for learning.
- Activity 1: System Map
- Activity 2: Theory of Change
- Activity 3: Learner Reality Mapping
- Activity 4: Learning Experience Audit
- Activity 5: Learning Outcomes
- Activity 6: Alignment Table
- Activity 7: Co-Design Plan
- Activity 8: Learning Activity Design
- Activity 9: Practice & Feedback Plan
- Activity 10: Assessment Plan
These activities result in a coherent, context-aware training design.
Extra Topics — Facilitation and Evaluation¶
These activities support the Extra Topics, which sit outside the core design workflow but address skills that matter for effective delivery and long-term improvement.
Part 2 — Making Training Reusable and Open¶
These activities help you extend your training beyond a single delivery by making it usable, adaptable, and shareable.
These activities help you turn your design into open educational resources that can be reused, adapted, and sustained.
How the activities connect¶
You are not starting over with each section.
- Activities 1–10 help you design effective training
- Activities 11–12 help you prepare for delivery and plan for evaluation
- Activities 13–14 help you make your design usable beyond your immediate context
👉 The goal is not to complete all activities once, but to iterate across them as your training evolves.
